With cooler weather, we are getting into the Christmas spirit. The boat parade was spectacular with the light of the full moon and many Christmas lights aglow. Last week we participated in the street parade down San Marco Road. Thousands of spectators enjoyed the bands, adult and children marchers, decorated boats, and the famous appearance of Santa himself in the basket of a firetruck. All the kids and adults had a wonderful evening. Sunday brought ice skating in the park. What a comical sight to see Marco children and adults trying to manuver ICE. It is not in our nature. Swimming fine, but ice skating is an entirely different mode. The ice rink was plastic and provided no friction. Adult skaters assisted the children. It was fun for all. It also provides everyone with a chance to mingle for the holidays. The outdoor movie ELF will show in the park this weekend.
I hope everyone will enjoy the holidays. Have a wonderful holiday season.
